ERROR: Final Cut Express was unable to read the movie file just captured.

Boy, that is a useful error message, not. In case anyone is STFW'ing for this error message, here's the tip: power cycle the Canopus. Once I did that, FCE was a happy campter.

Next time someone tells me "But think of the CHILDREN!", I think I'm gonna have to find a way to force them to play Doom 3. These rat bastards are the worst creatures I've come across in this game. They are like hopping little wasps.. that .. whine. And attack.

EDIS alert for another twister about 5 miles north of where I live, by the airport.

The number of twisters we've had in the area over the last couple months, compared to my entire *lifetime*, is quite amazing.

KCRA coverage says there was one at Arco, too. WTF people!

Arg. So, the place I found (CycleFinish) that could paint my motorcycle a different color, is no longer returning email or phone calls, nor is it answering the door. :-(

Anyone have suggestions on Sacramento, Bay Area, Reno, or anywhere in reasonable driving range to take a motorcycle and get it repainted? I want to paint my ST a different and more visible color (specifically, the "Honda Yellow" that you see on 'wings).

As tempting as it is to go to Earl Schieb .. I'll pass. :-)
